Healthcare and STEM Awards Dinner
Held at the elegant estate sitting on seven acres of magnificent gardens, this annual gathering of industry leaders within healthcare gather to recognize those within the healthcare world who have made an impact within their community.
The Healthcare and STEM Awards Dinner is Northern New Jersey Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Annual event has recognized leaders in medicine and the life sciences for more than 30 years. Each year, we celebrate and acknowledge innovators and community leaders in the medical and STEM fields. The mission-driven event brings together more than 250 business, professional, industry leaders, volunteers and friends of Scouts who are committed to healthcare and STEM in northern New Jersey.
The proceeds from the event support STEM programs which are weaved into all program levels, and foster an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Event Invitation
A first-generation Hispanic student from the inner city, Sebastian Vera experienced the lack of access to healthcare in underserved communities.
“The epitome of Scouting is becoming an Eagle Scout. It parallels medicine in fostering character and leadership. Both demand dedication, perseverance, and skill development.” Vera earned his Eagle Scout Award by organizing a community health fair that provided free exams and patient scheduling. He said he didn’t know his decision to join Scouting as a youth would “lay the foundation for skills and values that would prove invaluable on my path to Medical School.”
