Fall Roundup
Fall Recruitment is upon us! We know that the fall is a busy time for all of the units so please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Our goal is for every unit to have at least two recruitments during the fall. Although this may seem like more effort, many units are having their recruitments in conjunction with their pack/troop/crew meetings so there is really not much additional planning involved! In addition, it allows parents and kids an opportunity to come check out the Scouts if they missed the first recruitment. We have flyers that we can print and deliver to your schools as well as a variety of literature for new parents so please be sure to contact us if you need any recruitment materials!
Roundtable Meeting
We have a Roundtable Meeting every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM at Westwood United Methodist Church (30 Bergen St., Westwood, NJ). The Roundtable is open to all unit leaders (Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Den Leaders, Committee Members, parents, etc.) and is a meeting for leaders to get extra support. We have breakout sessions for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts where leaders will get an opportunity to get program ideas as well as get any questions answered that you may have. It is also a great opportunity to socialize and get ideas from other unit leaders while finding out more information about upcoming district/council events, training, etc. We also have Youth Protection Training available so please be sure to come out if you need the training. We look forward to seeing you guys at the next Roundtable!
